The Bisht

As the queen constantly seeks for ways to deconstruct men’s clothing she finds his Bisht as her inspiration.
The yellow dress is inspired by the Bisht a traditional overcoat worn by Arab men. Matched with a belt made from an egal adorned with crystals and a headscarf with hand crocheted endings. The headscarf holds a very dear meaning, it holds an abstract portrait of my great grandmother. My great grandmother was a painter and last year I stumbled onto a self portrait of herself wearing traditional clothing. Although I had never met her. Her portrait on the headscarf was and ode to her to thank her for inheriting my creative genes from her.
